INSPIRATION FROM MYTH AND LEGEND
This is a day of inspiration and subversion. Think of Angela Carter’s dark gothic stories, Carol Ann Duffy’s 'World’s Wife' poems, and the numerous re-workings of biblical tales, from writers as diverse as Shakespeare and Jeffrey Archer! We’ll be looking at myths, legends and folk tales and learning how to rework and subvert them into edgy, contemporary stories with modern settings. This is an ideal opportunity to experiment with some 'speculative' fiction
